Parent Teacher Association

Over the years the Friends of Charlestown School (FOCS) have raised thousands of pounds, all of which has been spent on the school. Projects have ranged from buying our mini bus to supporting the costs of school trips.
We are a small group of parents who meet regularly over a cup of tea or coffee to discuss the ideas for our next fundraising effort.
As well as summer and Christmas Fayres, we usually arrange two or three other fundraising events throughout the year.
Our aims are:
  • To support the school in the community - through and at events (both organised by us and third parties)
  • To work as ambassadors for the school, acting as another avenue for parents to provide feedback for the school
  • Maintain the school's reputation locally through positive publicity about the activities on offer
  • To raise money for the school to spend on specific projects e.g. the minibus, sound systems etc.
You can be sure of a warm welcome, so please come along.  Check out the FOCS facebook page for more details.
All parents and carers of children attending the school are automatically members of FOCS.  However, to get more involved, please contact the office so we can pass on the contact details of the current Chairperson.
